We celebrated my Father's 1 year Anniversary of his departure from this earth on Saturday, May 31, 2008, with a mass at All Saints. Although it was a hard day, and we miss him dearly, we know that Dad is in a better place. He loved life and loved us. I think of him every day and go over my memories of him and our family and thank God for each and every one of them. We were all loved unconditionally by both parents and that of course is the greatest gift of all. Our father will be in our hearts forever.

Thanks to everyone who penned messages in this guest book; they were all wonderful and a loving reflection of the life my Dad led.

Dad, I love you and miss you, today and always.

With my love,

Your Daughter, Sandra Anguiano Holtorf

Yesterday was my Dad's 76th birthday; the first birthday we did not share together. We all miss him so much but know that he is in a better place. I went to Mass to pray for him and laid an arrangement at his grave. I wished him a Happy Birthday, told him we all missed him and loved him very much and that some day we would be together again to celebrate all the times we will miss with him not here. Right now he is playing with Coco, I am sure of it. It's been an emotionally difficult year, for all of us, without my wonderful Dad but he is still with us each and every day in our many, many wonderful memories of him. Think of him fondly on Sat, May 31; that would really please him.

Dad,

It was your first Father's Day in Heaven. I thought of you often. I miss you. I picked up a card for you anyway. Here it is.
"To a Special Father With Love"
"Some Children never find a way to tell their fathers how they feel, but I want you to know how I appreciate all you did in bringing me up and how glad I am you cared enough to raise me the way you did. I know it wasn't always easy, and I also know you did it because you loved me.
Happy Father's Day"

Dad,
We let you go and it wasn't easy but we did it because we loved you with all our hearts. You were a Father so dearly loved.

Your Daughter, Maria Anguiano Morrison.

Dad, we buried you on Tuesday and today is Wednesday night. We went to Sara's high school graduation tonight. I know you would of been so proud of her. It was hard not to cry but I shed a tear inside. I'm sorry you missed it. I will often remember the things you did for me and all that you taught me. I'll pass some mechanical know how on to Kyle and Taylor. I'll miss not being able to call you and get your advice on some household project that had me stumped. You always had the answer. I love and miss you, your daughter Maria.

Sandra,

I knew you as "Sandy" back at St. Joe's-All Saints, Noll Jr. High then HHS. I graduated in 1977. I also remember how active your family was at my parish, All Saints. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this period of sorrow and loss. I hope you and all your family and loved ones find comfort in knowing you father's work is a living testiment to following God's will.
