Garry R. Hamacher, 84, passed away Apr. 11, 2025 in Eugene, Oregon. Born Aug. 10, 1940 to Louis & Marjorie Hamacher in Gary, IN; graduated Valparaiso High School 1958 ; enlisted in the US Air Force. He worked for Bethlehem Steel in Gary, IN for more than 20 years. Married to Carolyn Jessop in 1974, taking on the care of her children. Garry served as Exalted Ruler of the Valparaiso Elks in 1979. He is survived by brother Duane (Chris) Hamacher; niece and nephews Julia Wagner, Dustin Hamacher, and Marcus Hamacher; children Laura Carr and Anne Duret; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
