GERALD "JERRY" STABLER CROWN POINT, IN
Gerald "Jerry" Stabler, age 76 of Crown Point, IN; formerly of Munster, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Jerry is survived by three children: Joseph (Tammy) Stabler, Dante (Rhonda) Stabler, Gerilyn Stabler; grandchildren: Julietta, Marisa, and Gabriela Stabler, Ryan, Nicholas, and Michael Stabler; four sisters: Marilyn (Donald) Kaegebein, Norma (late Robert) Benoit, Cheryl (Jack) Finley, Nancy (Patrick) McShane; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was a graduate of Hammond High School, Class of 1958. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963, during which he was assigned to the USS Wasp. A memorial visitation will be held at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service (811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point) on Thursday, January 12, 2017from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Directly after, a prayer service will be held from 12:30-1:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL) at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Wounded Warriors Project (P.O. Box 758817, Topeka, Kansas 66675.)
