GERALDINE "MAIMIE" PENDLETON

Geraldine "Maimie" Pendleton (nee Valenti) FORMERLY OF GLEN PARK - Geraldine "Maimie" Pendleton (nee Valenti), age 94 formerly of Glen Park, passed away peacefully in her home on May 7, 2018. She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, class of 1941. She attended Gary Business College and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Maimie was preceded in death by her husband Claude Pendleton in 1986; two sisters, Prudence Dowers, Josephine Pietrack; brother, John Valenti. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Dan) Taylor of Crown Point, Bill (Karen) Pendleton of Florida, Claudia Triplo Panagiotides (Bill) of St. John; grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) Taylor, Adam (Katie) Taylor, David Triplo, Matt (Amanda) Pendleton, Megan (Richard) Rosa; four great grandchildren, Isabella, Ada Rose, Laken, Carsyn; sister, Antoinette "Toni" Laiber of South Bend, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Friday, May 11, 2018 starting with prayers at 9:00 a.m. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN and proceeding to St. Joseph the Worker-St. Mark for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, 330 E. 45th Ave., Gary, IN, Rev. Kevin McCarthy officiating. Friends may visit with Geraldine's family on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, CROWN POINT from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Entombment Calumet Park Mausoleum.
