JEAN E. GOZDECKI (KABAT) CALUMET CITY, IN Jean E. Gozdecki (Kabat), age 95, of Calumet City, IL passed away on August 3, 2015. She is survived by her loving sons: Robert Gozdecki and Thomas (Linda) Gozdecki; loving granddaughter: Kristin (Tom) Postma; two great grandsons: Troy and Corey; loving sister: Annette Butryn; brother- in-law: Edward Gozdecki; godchildren: Florence (Panek) Snow, Theresa (Panek) Russel, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Hedwig (Mayday) Pasymowski and stepmother Katherine Panek; loving husbands: Walter C. Gozdecki and Edward Kabat; and loving sister: Josephine (Babe) Paruszkiewicz; also her best friend from St. Michael School, Esther Laskowski. Jean was a graduate of St. Michael School in South Chicago "class of 1935". Jean was a member of the Our Lady of Knock Altar and Rosary Society, The Friendship Club, The Resurrection Choir and served as a Cub Scout den mother. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday August 6, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and also at Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163rd St. Calumet City, IL on Friday August 7, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a Mass following at 10:00 a.m. with Fr.
