Gjeto Nikolaj Obituary
Gjeto "John" Nikolaj, age 62 of Portage, passed away on May 2, 2017 at Porter Regional Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1955 in Montenegro to the late Kola and Fila (nee Gjokaj) Nikolaj. On September 27, 1984 he married Lena Gjokaj who survives. Gjeto is survived by his wife, Lena; two sons Toni and Lindon Nikolaj; three daughters Suzi (Valentin) Berishaj, Christina Nikolaj and Lindita Nikolaj; four brothers, Mario (Aga), Nuo (Pashka), Leka (Jackie) and Petar Nikolaj; one sister, Gjyste Nikolaj; two grandchildren, Loriana and Gjuliana Berishaj; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Visitation for John will be on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with 4:00 p.m. prayers with Deacon Bob Bonta officiating, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342. There will be additional visitation on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Wujek- Calcattera & Sons, 54880 Van Dyke at Twenty-Five Mile Rd., Shelby Township, MI 48316 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Albanian Catholic Church, 545 West Auburn Rd. just West of Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, MI.
