Harriet Zisoff Obituary

HARRIET M. ZISOFF (NEE ZAWISLAK) "YADZIA" HESSVILLE, IN Harriet M. Zisoff (nee Zawislak) "Yadzia", age 87, of Hessville, passed away Tuesday December 6, 2011. She is survived by daughter, Gail (Donald) Bretthorst, of Valparaiso, IN; granddaughters: Rhonda (Scott) Pfeiffer, Sandra (Kevin) Platt, Annette (Paul) Thompson; grandson, Robert Bretthorst; great grandsons: Ryan, Aaron, Chad, Kyle, and Jeremie; sisters-in-law: Theresa Zisoff and Bridgette Zawislak; special niece, Dorothy Matusz; special friends: Barb and Doris. Preceded in death by her husband, William (Ret. HFD); son, Ronald (Sandra) Zisoff; parents: John and Rose; and siblings: Helen, Caroline, Joseph, Angeline, Adeline, and John. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main and Kennedy), Scher- erville with Deacon Thomas Kreidler officiating. At rest St. Joseph Cemetery Hammond. Friends may call on the family on Friday December 9, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Harriet was a lifelong area resident, member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for 50+ years, and retired from School City of Hammond with 15 years of service. She was an avid Cubs fan. Harriet cherished her independence and was a warm, compassionate and giving woman who was loved by all.
