HARRY J. SETTLE, JR. "JACK" CALUMET CITY, IL
Harry J. Settle, Jr., age 67, of Calumet City, IL, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at home. He was born in Montgomery, WV. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Tylek); two daughters: Shannon (Dan) Sobolewski and Jackie (Craig) Sandefur; one son, James (JB) Settle; three stepdaughters: Jacqueline (Chris) Stockmann, Joycelyn Morton, and Jeri (Joe) Czarnik; seven grandchildren: Audrey, Vanessa, Garrett, Owen, Kalei, Jorie, and Jayden; one brother, Terry Settle of WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents: Harry J. and Mildred Marie Settle; three brothers: Roger , Cliff (Bill), and Curtis; one sister, Peggy Ramsey; and one grandson, Evan Wayne Sandefur. Jack moved to the Calumet Region after serving his country in the Army. He was recently retired from Mittal Steel. Jack loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids. Visitation will be Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 6:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Ed Cunningham at Hennessy- Nowak Funeral Home, 400 Pulaski Road, Calumet City, IL (708) 862-5454.
