HIGHLAND, IN - Helen M. Papendick, age 99, of Highland, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
She is survived by her son, Chuck (Cathey) Papendick; daughter, Pat Kaleta; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Jennie Kesilis; brothers-in-law: Robert (Ruby), Norman, and Arnold (Linda) Papendick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Papendick; five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at the FAGEN-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Highway Ave in Highland, IN, on Monday, February 26, 2024, with visiting from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery.
Helen was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, knitting, playing cards, cross word puzzles, and general tom-foolery. However, her true love was her Chicago Cubs.

Am very sorry I didn't attend the funeral, I just had back surgery the 22nd. Please let everyone know how much she will be missed. I remember her always joyful & entertaining. Sorry again.

To Helen´s family. I didn´t know Helen well having just met her about a year ago at Hartsfield Village. We were a table of 4 who were o different but found a lot to talk and laugh about. I´ve missed her company. Mary Dooley.
