Helen Paskash Obituary
Helen Sylvia Paskash (nee Lazar), age 83, passed away Monday, October 22, 2007. She was born in Hobart, IN, was a former resident of Gary, IN and a graduate of Lew Wallace High School Class of 1942. Helen was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. She loved golfing and was a former member of Summertree Women's Golf League. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Paskash; parents: Eli Lazar and Elizabeth Motok; sisters: Mary Davis, Jame Zambory and Elizabeth Nicksich; brother, Emil Motok. She is survived by four children: Richard Paskash of Merrillville, IN, David (Kathy) Paskash of Hobart, IN, Michael (Madonna) Paskash of Bloomington, IN and Lorraine (Larry) Cranfill of Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren: Steven and Stacy Shinovich, Kristine, Michelle, Peter, Matthew, Daniel, Lucas and Katie Paskash; one brother, Eli (Judy) Lazar of Valparaiso, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Pomen Service will be offered at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home with Rev. Marko Matic officiating. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.

I just found out the news and am so very sorry to hear that Aunt Helen has left us for Heaven. She was truly a wonderful person and my favorite aunt. She will be sorely missed!
