Irene Pytynia Obituary

IRENE PYTYNIA VALPARAISO, IN Irene Pytynia, 94, of Valparaiso, passed away July 23, 2010. She was born on September 10, 1916 to Frederick and Mary (Lewandowski) Janowski, who preceded her in death. On June 15, 1946 in Chesterton, she married Walter Pytynia, who also precedes her in death. Irene was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, along with the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, both in Valparaiso. She is survived by five sons: Thomas (Jalana) Pytynia of Plainfield, James (Rose) Pytynia of Michigan City, John Pytynia of Valparaiso, Gary Pytynia of Valparaiso and Jeffrey Pytynia of Valparaiso; one daughter, Sharon (Robert) Bianchi of Carmel; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was one son, Terry Pytynia; two brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, at 12:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Bianchi officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Donors Choice.
