Iretha Stambaugh Obituary

Iretha Stambaugh (nee Ferguson) Valparaiso Iretha Stambaugh (nee Ferguson), 62, of Valparaiso, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on May 11,2004, at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point. She was born June 5,1942, in West Liberty, Kentucky, the daughter of Anon and Sophie (Fyffe) Ferguson. A Valparaiso resident, she married William Roger Stambaugh on July 16, 1960, in West Liberty, Kentucky. She was a member of Town and Country Christian Church in Crown Point. She was a beloved Wife, Mother and Mamaw. She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 43 years, William Roger of Valparaiso; one son, Jeffery (Donna) Stambaugh of Valparaiso; two daughters, Sissy (JR) Parks of Valparaiso and Tammy (David) Coil of Goshen, Indiana; six grandchildren, Steven and Sarah Stambaugh of Valparaiso, Kaylee and Michael Parks of Valparaiso and Adrianna and Matthew Coil of Goshen; Father Anon (Mary) Ferguson of West Liberty; two sisters, Brenda (Larry) Dickerson and Caroleene Ferguson of West Liberty, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Martha Stambaugh and mother, Sophie Ferguson. A visitation will be held Friday, May 14, from 1 pm to 8 pm at Paintsville Funeral Home, 236 2nd Street, Paintsville, KY, 41240 (606-789-5125). A Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at First Christian Church of Paintsville with Minister Neil Norheim officiating. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Paintsville, Kentucky. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and whose lives she touched, both family and friends.
