James Richard Nichols, age 92, of Hobart passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Visitation for Jim will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 4-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Maria Reiner Senior Center, 705 East 4th Street, Hobart, IN 46342 in lieu of flowers.

Mr. Nichols was a very kind and classy gentleman. He made my day any time I saw him coming up the walk to get his exercise at the YMCA. He was always sharply dressed and creased with that warm smile on his face. I am going to miss him. I am very sorry for the family's loss.
