James R. Potocki Calumet City, IL James R. Potocki, age 76, WWII veteran, of Calumet City, IL, at rest June 4, 2007. Loving father of James, Leslie Fleener and Laura (Jim) Fanta. Dear grandfather of Michael and Mark Fanta. Fond brother of Edward, Richard (Kathleen) and the late Stanley Jr. (Marge), Lottie (the late Lou) Campagna, Eleanore (the late Joe) Murin and Genevieve (Frank) Lazzari. Son of the late Stanley and Michaline. Special friend to Rose Bonato, John LaBanca, Greg Sobczak, Brian Wartman, Alan Libby, Kelly Young, Val Kocolowski, Rick Asbell and Tom Szewczykowski; and many friends. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Hennessy-Nowak Funeral Home, 400 Pulaski Road (154th Street), Calumet City, IL. Chapel service will be Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Jim was a member of Pipefitters Union Local 597. He had a passion for fishing and watching football and baseball with friends at Boss's. He enjoyed his trips to Cavalier's for lunch and drinks. Jim was a talented handyman and will be remembered most for his great generosity to all his friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
