Jeffrey Ryan Marrs, 47 of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born June 14, 1977 in Hobart, Indiana, the son of Kenneth F. and Eva (Kaminski) Marrs. Jeffrey was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and graduate of Portage High School. He enjoyed guitars, fishing, 80's music and shows, and his favorite The Three Stooges. His love of family, smile, and ability to light up a room with laughter will be missed by all who knew Jeff.
Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Eva; siblings, Pamela (Thomas) Mnichowski and Kenneth D. (Heather) Marrs; nieces and nephews, Morganne (Kyle Horan), Reese, and Emerson Marrs and Thomas J. and Jacob Mnichowski; aunt, Bonnie Newlin; uncle, Jim (Donna) Epler; aunt, Mary and uncle, Gary Pause; and many cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth J. and Margaret Marrs and Kazimier and Czeslawa Kaminski; uncle, Mal Newlin; uncle, Jim; and aunt, Linda Williams.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1 until 4 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, with a Funeral Mass on Monday, November 18 at 10 a.m. directly at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 509 W. Division Rd., Valparaiso. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.

I'm just finding out about this now. I wanted to say that I was Jeff's next store neighbor in Portage he was only a year older than me so we grew up together. We always had Jeff over and we played together growing up. Pam used to babysit us. long story short. Jeff taught me to love and care about people with disabilities. He was an awesome friend the neighborhood loved him. He lives in me forever.

I remember going to see Jeffrey after he was born at his parents house in Portage. He was so tiny His mother was a dear friend of mine. We rode bikes together. I am sincerely sorry for your loss. My prayers are with Ken and Eva!!!
