Joan L. Eyrich (nee Sloan)

WINFIELD, IN - Joan L. Eyrich (nee Sloan), age 84, of Winfield, formerly of Merrillville and current resident at Symphony of Chesterton passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Joan is survived by her daughters: Lora Eyrich, Sarah (Mark) Simmons, and Karen (Don) Finley; grandsons: Andrew Finley, Aaron Finley, and Benjamin Ortiz; several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded death by her husband, Carl Eyrich; parents: Kenneth and Lora Sloan; sister, Mary Evelyn Manion; and brother, and Robert James Sloan. I have read and reread these wonderful entries about my mother and I am so proud to be her daughter. What an honor to have a mother who was truly loved and respected by so many kind people. Mom loved life and fought to live, but now she is with my dad, grandparents, siblings, and other loving relatives and friends. Thanks and blessings to all of you.

There are no words to express my sorrow. I am blessed to have been her niece and I celebrate her life. Out of all my memories, I will cherish her words to me at one of the Manion bunch visit at Symphony, we had so much laughter that day and she genuinely stated this was such a blast! Knowing we gave her laughter as much as we received it, is truly precious. Love you Aunt Joan.
