CROWN POINT, IN - Joanne Yugo, age 77, of Crown Point, IN, passed away with her daughter at her side on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

With a spirit that was both compassionate and determined, Joanne brought joy and delight to those in her presence. She loved dancing, travelling, entertaining, gardening, playing cards, and creating memories and laughter with those she cherished.  Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband of over 40 years, Mike.  She met Mike while attending Purdue University and made meaningful contributions in accounting, operational, and administrative roles across industries during a career spanning over four decades and at least seven states. She would say, however, her greatest legacy and calling was her role as a mother, wife, daughter, cousin, sister, and friend. She supported, guided, cared for, and sparked joy with those who knew her.

With this legacy she leaves precious memories to be cherished by her daughter, Jennifer, and a remarkable group of friends and family.
