Diane so sorry for your loss. Johnny was the person who taught George how to lay block many many years ago. He was a good man. You and your family are in our prayers. If you need anything, please call us.

There isn't enough words to say how much we will miss this guy. With his soft manor of always making you feel welcome in his home, his delightfully funny tales of the day, his stories of animals he had encountered and his farming trials and tribulations. We were friends for many years, living just down the road. We all learned to play tennis together with many of our old friends, like the dear Don Kennedy. He was just a hoot to play with. Such fun times when we all were younger. So many adventures and memories that we will hold deep in our hearts forever. His stone mason skills were the best around. We have many here on our place to attest to that. They will be admired for years to come.
It was always a treat to visit Dianne and John, to go out to eat, or for a ride In the country or just chat about the days gone by or the birds we had seen. He was a special man and dear friend and will never be forgotten. David &Linda Marrs. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

John was a wonderful friend to our family and neighbor to my Sister Linda Marrs & David. I looked forward to Dianne & John's visits on my annual trips to IN. Such kind generous folks. I loved John's wry humor & tales of the farm told with a twinkle in his eye. John & David were always teasing each other while trouble shooting some piece of equipment or critter problem. Hebron won't be the same without John's lanky frame. His solid masonry & green lands will remain a testament to his strong, gentle soul.

My heart goes out to all of you. He was a wonderful man. I knew him since I was a kid. I was then blessed to work with him, play some tennis and hear some stories. He even gave me some professional advise. RIP and keep laughing.

One of the finest bricklayers I had the privilege to work with, let alone one of the finest men. His sense of humor was undeniably priceless. He always seemed ageless to me, one of a kind. My sincere condolences to all his family. Sincerely, Steve Eaton
