JUAN G. ALAMILLO "EL TIO" EAST CHICAGO, IN Juan G. Alamillo, age 90, passed away January 30, 2016. He is survived by his step-son, Antonio (Maria Luisa) Garfias; grandchildren: Antonio (Stephanie) Garfias Jr., Denise Garfias, Erick R. Garfias, Juan A. Garfias, Sylvia Sanchez; great grandchildren: Milo Garfias and Simon Garfias; sisters: Soledad Alvarez and Consuelo Ramirez; and special niece, Gloria Raschke. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Margarita Garfias Alamillo; mother, Virginia Alamillo; brother, Fidel Alamillo; sisters: Virginia Alamillo, Gloria Alamillo, and Juanita Guajardo; grandson, Emmanuel D. Garfias; and nephew, Lupe Alamillo. Juan worked 28 years in the 100" plate mill at Inland Steel. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Consolation Church, Merrillville, IN with Rev. Peter Muha officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery.
