Juan "Johnny" Antonio Guzman, age 33 of Portage, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. He was born on January 1, 1982 in Valparaiso, IN to H. Barney Guzman and Sandra Burger-Langowski. He is survived by his Wife, Dina Guzman of Portage; mother, Sandra (David) Burger- Langowski of Michigan City; father, H. Barney (Sherri) Guzman of Lake Station; son, Jacob Szala; daughter, Jordyn Szakacs-Darnell; special cousin, James Burger; brother, Michael Guzman of League City, TX; sisters, Amanda Evanovich of Lake Station, Brittany Evanovich of Lake Station, Ali Langowski of Michigan City; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Graham of Lake Station; maternal aunts and uncles, Mike Burger of Lake Station, Dana (Al) Burger- Herbst of Chesterton, Heidi (Drew) Jesko of Flower Mound, TX, Greg (Sandi) Burger of Knox; paternal aunts and uncles, Sonia Guzman of AZ, Judy Guzman of Valparaiso, Norma (Angel) Guzman-Ortiz of Portage, Bruni Ramirez of Puerto Rico and many other cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gregory J. Burger Sr.; paternal grandparents, Juan and America Guzman; uncle, Tony Guzman. Johnny graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associate's Degree in HVAC. He owned his own business, B&G Techlink and operated IT. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368. Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation services provided by Heritage Crematory, Portage, IN.
