Judith Bronowski Obituary
Sept 29, 1952 - May 27, 2023
DYER, IN - Judith (Judy) Bronowski, age 70, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, after a fight with pancreatic cancer. She was born on September 29, 1952, in Gary, Indiana, to Theodore and Dorothy Bronowski, the second of three children. Judy attended Andrean High School (Class of 1970) and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a BA in Fine Arts. She started her career at Whiteco Industries as a graphic designer, eventually moving on to head the marketing/advertising efforts at Holiday Star Theatre/Radisson Star Plaza from the opening of the Theatre in 1979. Judy began a long career in the hospitality industry for White Lodging Services, leading the marketing efforts there from its inception in 1985 to 2007, then spent 12 years as VP/Marketing for Portfolio Hotels & Resorts of Oakbrook, IL, before retiring in 2019.
Judy had a passion for travel, visiting exotic locations and making treasured lifelong friends around the world. Her love of Italy took her there numerous times every year to enjoy the culture, people, food, wine and beauty of the country. She also loved spending time with family and friends at Shafer Lake, enjoying the quiet and peace of the lakefront while entertaining friends there often.
Judy is preceded in death by her father, Theodore Bronowski and mother, Dorothy Bronowski. She is survived by her brothers, Theodore (Toni) Bronowski and Kenneth (Karen) Bronowski; nephew, Christopher Bronowski and numerous cousins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home & Crematory, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. The funeral will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, Crown Point. Rev. Thomas E. Mischler officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Judy's name to Pancan.org, the organization devoted to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer. www.burnsfuneral.com

She fixed up me and my husband. She was such a fun person.
