Judy A. Modjeski

JUDY A. MODJESKI (NEE KOTARSKI) FORMERLY OF HAMMOND/EAST CHICAGO, IN Judy A. Modjeski (nee Kotarski), age 53, of Aurora, CO, formerly of Hammond and East Chicago, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mark; two loving sons: Tim (Dina) Modjeski of Castle Rock, CO and Matthew Modjeski of Aurora, CO; two sisters: Diane (Wally) Zdonek of Schererville and Linda (Dave) Alb of Hammond; two brothers: Ray (Vida) Kotarski of Brownsburg, IN and Bob (Nancy) Kotarski of Schererville; parents-in- law: John and Bernice Zbikowski of Highland; brother-in-law, Jerry (Reene) Modjeski of St. John; and aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents: Ray and Stella Kotarski; father-in-law, Gerard Modjeski; brother-in-law, Danny; sister-in-law, Barb Modjeski; and other extended family members. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 4404 Cameron Ave., Hammond (two blocks east of Hohman, one block north of Gostlin) with Rev. William O'Toole officiating. Memorial visitation Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private cremation took place in Colorado. Judy was a 1973 graduate of Bishop Noll Institute. She was a former member of St. Casimir Church in Hammond. Prior to her relocation to Colorado, Judy was very active at St. Casimir School as the past president of the Home and School Association, Athletic Director, and a former member of St. Casimir Lady of Fatima Sodality. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her, and will be remembered for her caring heart. May she rest in peace.
