JULIE ANN REGAL PORTAGE, IN
Julie Ann Regal, age 89, of Portage, IN peacefully passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Julie married the love of her life John Regal on August 2, 1944. She graduated from Tolleston High School in Gary, IN. Julie emulated her love for others through cooking, helping and caring for her family. She was a selfless and loving caretaker of multiple generations for her family. She taught her children, many grand and great-grandchildren, kindness and consideration of others through example. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many and will be missed greatly by those who loved her. Julie is survived by her children: Judy Dabrowski, Jackie (Doug) Koskovick, Joyce Luciano, and John M. Regal; sister, Margaret Porchiran; brother, Ed Dranchak; eight grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren and one great- great granddaughter. Preceded in death by her loving husband John Regal; parents, John and Ann Dranchak; sisters: Mary Skiba and Ann Gayda; brothers: Andy Dranchak, and John Dranchak. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7537 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN with Rev. Mike Evanick officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Julie was my mother's best friend for many years going back to high school. I remember her well. She was so kind to everyone, including all us kids. She had a great sense of humor and always made everyone smile. She was a wonderful lady.

Julie was a beautiful woman I have had the pleasure of knowing her way back when I was in high school working at Kmart in Miller. Then I enjoyed doing her hair for many years! Lots of laughs and good times! She will be missed by many!
