Katherine Samuelson

Katherine Samuelson (nee Everett) Hobart Katherine Samuelson (nee Everett), age 66, of Hobart, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Wednesday, December 14, 2005. She was a lifetime Hobart resident, a member of the Deep River Church of Christ, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5365, American Legion Post 454 Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 314. Katherine worked at the Indian Ridge Pro Shop for many years. Katherine is survived by three children: Paul (Stefanie) Gurband of LaPorte, Cindi (Kirk) O'Connor of Portage and Beth Gurband of LaPorte; three step-children: John (Linda) Cooros of Portage, Laura (Terry) Dull of Roach, MO, Kim (George) Werner of Westville; one sister-in-law, Anne E. Everett of Gilbert, AZ; four grandchildren: Shannon (Ryan) Dargewich, Nathan and Jessica Kneifel, Paula Rae Gurband and special friend, Bill Webster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Samuelson; parents: John and Rebecca Everett; one brother, John Everett; one sister, Helen Everett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Funeral services are Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Mr. Art Wilkerson, officiating. Services will terminate at the funeral home. Visitation is Saturday prior to the services from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an Order of Eastern Star service at 4:00 p.m. and a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Service at 4:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Private burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Graceland Cemetery.
