Kenneth Castor Obituary
Kenneth F. Castor, age 69, of Portage, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1942 in Gary, IN to Frank and Alfreda (Pankiewicz) Castor who preceded him in death. Ken worked as a general manager for Richardson's Suzuki dealership in Highland. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #260. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Becky (Harker) Castor of Portage, IN; children: Kim (Dan) Littell of Liberty Twp. and Sean (Daleana) Castor of Valparaiso, step-children: Tami (Dan) Beal of Valparaiso, Duncan James of Gary, and Larry Widener of Lake Station; nine grandchildren: Tony (Keeli) Littell, Allie Littell, Cory and Destinee Castor, Hailey Whitworth, Jacqueline Cracco, and Mariah Richard, Cody and Travis Beal; brother, Larry (Judi) Castor of Riverside, CA; sister, Joyce (Ted) Myers of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Castor. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN with Pastor Allen Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October, 16, 2011 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Miss Becky, I am so sorry to hear of your loss :( I remember Ken always sitting in TA bar keeping me company on those long friday nights I often spent by myself! we would watch wipe out together, he would crack some jokes, we would make fun of people on tv, he had a few beers, had dinner, kept me company and we always had good conversation! ill never forget him teasing me about being pregnant with twins! :) My heart goes out to you and your family and my thoughts and prayers will always be with you!!

My heart goes out to the Castor family. I worked for Becky at Bogies. That is how I met Ken. You couldnt ask for better people. I know Becky will be lost without her best friend. My heart hurts so bad for you becky. I can't imagine the pain your going through. I love you!

My heartfelt sympathy is extended to Ken's family. I knew Ken when I worked selling ads to Richardson Suzuki. Ken was a hoot to work with and had an unending sense of humor. He was compassionate and a good listener, and his customers had one of the best sales reps in the industry working with them. Again, my sincere sympathy to his family.

So sorry for your loss, but Ken's in a better place. While Kenny is gone from us, we will always have our memories. Jerry and I had the opportunity to share many vactions with Ken and Becky those memories will last forever.

Becky, Kim, Sean & family, Ken was like a second dad to me growing up. I always felt like part of the family, although we haven't been in contact much over the last few years, Ken meant the world to me. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
