Kenneth Roberts Obituary
Kenneth W. Roberts, age 78 of Portage, IN, passed away September 19, 2012. He was born on July 6, 1934 in Falcon, MO to Earl and Hilda Roberts. Kenneth married Caroline McCord. He is survived by daughter, Tamara Barnes (Dwight) of Portage; daughter- in-law, Lisa Roberts of Fort Wayne; brother, Jerry Roberts of Kent, WA; sisters: Patsy (Jim) Bloxham of Boise, ID and Roberta (Ed) Gentry of Klamath Falls, OR; grandchildren: Steven (Emily) Barnes of Portage, Katherine Barnes of Portage, Katelynn (Bill) Trebilcock of Grand Rapids, MI, Jeffery Barnes of Portage, Kassandra Roberts of Fort Wayne, Emily Barnes of Portage, and Evan Roberts of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Roberts; son, Danny Roberts; grandson, Tyler Roberts; brother, Harry Lee Roberts; sisters: Mary Lou Roberts and Darlene Daniels. Kenneth was a United States Army veteran. He also was an avid bowler. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel with Pastor Jeff Cagwin officiating. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery Portage. Memorial donations may be made to Youth for Christ, P.O. Box 1064 Valparaiso, IN 46384. I having many special memories of Kenny, Kay, Tammy, and Danny while I was growing up in Indiana. Kenny lived with our family at one point in life and he and all the family were like family to us. Kenny even brought me home from the hospital when I was born. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tammy and all their family. Having those we love is never easy.
