Larry D. Collier, age 76, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, after many complications following two heart surgeries. He was born in Evansville, IN, on March 3, 1949. His last job was at Bethlehem Steel. He retired on disability in January 2005, after many health issues.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen S. Collier and his three sons: Matthew (Kelly) Collier, Scott (Amy) Collier and Ryan (Linda) Collier; seven beloved grandchildren: Zachary Collier, Joseph Collier, Allison Collier, Kourtney Collier, Eric Collier, Elena Collier and Benjamin Collier; brother, James Collier; sister-in-law, Sandra Collier, brother-in-law, William Myer, brother-in-law, Timothy Collins; sister-in-law, Nancy Collins and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Leo Collier and his mother, Anna Earlene Collier.

Larry was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point since 1970. He was an avid sports fan. He particularly loved soccer, baseball and wrestling. Larry attended all events that he was able to for his grandchildren including band concerts for several of the grandchildren. He also went to local games and wrestling meets and was known by the children as the "candy man" or "candy Grandpa" for filling his pockets with candy for the children.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point, 218 S. Court Street, Crown Point, IN. Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
