Larry P. Long

Dec 1, 1950 - Oct 12, 2025

Larry P. Long, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife, Beverly. Born in 1950, Larry was a proud 50-year member of Local #20 Sheet Metal Workers Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul ands Juanita Long. Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly, brothers: Tom (Mary), Jim (Pam), Jeff (Teresa), and Russ (Joanna); sister, Sherri Harbrecht (Scott); sons, Andy (Jaime) and Jake (Nichole); step-daughter, Stephanie Hook (Dana); eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Larry was devoted to his family and was a master car builder. He was well known for his award-winning cars – his 1955 Chevy Pro Street and 1955 Chevy Gasser – which reflected his passion, creativity, and attention to detail.

Larry will be forever missed bv his devoted and loving wife, Beverly, and by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was defined by his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Larry's memory do so by spending time with loved ones and sharing a story or smile in his name.

Larry, I'll always remember the way you would goof around with Makayla when she was little. Always happy and laughing with that deep, deep voice of yours.
Yippy-ky-aye, old man.
Rest in peace
