Lester McKinley Sr., aged 73, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 23, 1952, in East Chicago, IN, Lester's life was a testament to love, family, and perseverance.
Lester was a husband, father of five children, a grandfather of ten, a great-grandfather of two & a brother.
He believed in the power of family and dedicated his life to creating a loving and supportive home. Lester's stories, affectionate nicknames for family, and warm hugs will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Freeman Temple Church of God in Christ, 715 E. 45th Ave, Gary, IN.

May God bless the McKinley family in this time of sorrow. I have many memories of hanging out at the Tyler St family home with Nokie and seeing Uncle Lester and his many record albums with Kira´s name all over them. Hugs and prayers family. May God comfort
