MANUEL A. DEL RISCO "PAPI" GRIFFITH, IN Manuel Arturo Del Risco, age 76 of Griffith, entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He is survived by four children: Elizabeth Boyd, Arturo (JoAnne) Del Risco, Mauricio Del Risco, and Luis (Lori) Del Risco; ten grandchildren: Alexandra (David) Teets, Luis Vara, Elizabeth and Rebecca Boyd, Noah, Joshua, Victoria, Alyssa, Hannah, and Alexander Del Risco. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Victoria Del Risco in 1999; and parents: Carlos and Maria Del Risco. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hammond (Hessville) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7132 Arizona Ave., Hammond with father Charles Mosley Celebrant. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn - Mt. Mercy Cemetery in Gary. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Bocken Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Manuel had been a resident of the region for the past 38 years. He retired from Inland Steel as a railroad switchman. Manuel enjoyed watching baseball and had been a White Sox fan since growing up in Cuba. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and beloved friend to many. Manuel will best be remembered for his kindness toward others and his sweet spirit.
