MARABETH MAGGIO STARKE LANSING, IL Marabeth Maggio Starke passed away June 9, 2013 at the age of 64 while at her home in Lansing, IL. Although battling lung cancer for more than three years, her immediate death was untimely and unexpected. Marabeth was the daughter of Ruth Lucas-Maggio and Pat Maggio. She was born March 12, 1949 at South Chicago Community Hospital in Chicago, IL. Marabeth is survived by her husband, Anthony Starke; children: Rhonda Hill-Sihocky (John), Keith Behnke (Barb), Mindy Behnke-Gricar (Kevin), and Ronnie Behnke; sister, Patricia Maggio-Lustig (Edward); grandchildren: Dylan, Jacob, Scott, Jeremy, Kelsey, Justin, Ashley, Brandon, and Jordan; and many friends and extended family. Beloved Marabeth will not be forgotten for her forthright spirit, strong sense of self, determination and perseverance. Dynamic with endless energy, wit, and humor, her sense and style was truly her own - she will never be forgotten. Marabeth will be memorialized at a later date in an intimate family setting. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Marabeth's name to Faye's Light, a non-profit cancer comfort treatment which provided her with guidance and support throughout her journey.
