Marilyn A. Naggatz

VALPARAISO, IN - Marilyn A. Naggatz, age 89, of Valparaiso passed away Monday August 21, 2023, in Hobart. Marilyn was born September 13, 1933, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Arthur and Gladys (Miller) Meyer. She was a retired elementary school teacher that taught in three states. She was a very active member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Hobart. She was the former president of AAL, a former superintendent of the Sunday School Program, and a former member of the Church Circle.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Naggatz of Valparaiso; two sons, Alan (Nancy) Naggatz of Valparaiso and Karl Naggatz of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, Emily Naggatz, Isabelle Naggatz, and Megan Heavlin; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and sisters, Lorraine Mead, Edwin Meyer, William Meyer, and Patricia Blackwell.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. Friday August 25, 2023, at Augustana Lutheran Church 207 Kelly Street Hobart, IN 46342. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Mauch officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
