Though it has been over 12 years since Marks passing, I always remember what a kind and generous person he was. A total class individual, and just talking and being around him was such an honor. His gentle teaching and talks to my daughter and many nuts in softball, etc showed how extraordinary he was. He will always be missed

Coach Mark
For three years you were an inspiration to the team. You were so positive about us winning that it made me smile to see you down the first base line. You believed in us all and you believed in me. Thank you for that. I know that you had a kick coaching us girls...yes at times we could of been a little roudy but you kept us in line. RIP Coach Mark. I know one day I will be able to play softball with you again.

Mark, Cheeto, Clay and a few others used to come up to our place on Neal Street in Bowling Green when Jeff Sweeney and I were in school there. We had some great times at the parties we threw there. I hadn't seen Mark in years, and will always be sad about that. I wish you all the best will keep you in my prayers.

Every once and awhile the Lord blesses us with a kindred spirit in our lives. Mark was that spirit - he was a larger than life presence that drew you in and wouldn't release you! During the softball season this extraordinary man was a mentor and beloved friend. Thank you so much for sharing your father and husband with me and so many others every May, June, and July! It’s been a privilege and an honor knowing him. My life will be forever better knowing that I was able to share so many summers with this one of a kind man!

To Mark's Girls,
I am sorry that I am not there with you to celebrate Mark's life. He was such a wonderful man and I know that our lives will never be the same without him and for that I am thankful. He always new just what to say to make me feel special and loved. I was his Lollycakes and he was my big brother. I can still remember him taking care of me as a little girl and I know first hand he could make a mean ponytail and pick out an outfit that was sure to spark much conversation in the teacher's lounge of Gilbertsville Elementary school. We had many adventures together that I will never forget. I will be praying for you all and praying for the sun to shine on you. I know that we will always remember that if your not grinnin your not winnin!
I love you,
Lollycakes

Barb and family,

So very sorry to hear about your loss. May God help you through this horrible time in your lives. Take comfort in knowing that he will no longer have to suffer.
With deepest sympathy

September 16, 2010

The LeVin Family,
First let me just say how sorry I was to hear of your loss.
I know exactly how it feels to loose someone whom you have loved for so many years. Trust me though, the sun will shine again.
I leave these words for all of you:
A life is like a song we write
in our own tone and key
Each life we touch reflects a note
that forms the melody.
We choose the theme and chorus
of the song to bear our name
And each will have a special sound
no two can sound the same.
So when someone we love departs
in memory we find
their song plays on within the hearts
of those they leave behind.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Consider yourselves HUGGED!!!

God's Love,
Jeanne Kapciak

Mark could light up a room just by walking into it. He's always had that gift. Even in high-school, his star would shine a just little brighter than most of ours. However, his family was the light of his life and you could just hear the love and pride in his voice when he talked about you all.

He leaves a legacy of a lovely family and countless friends and we are all better because he was in our lives.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Levin Family
Words, however kind,
can't mend your heartache:
but those who care and
share your loss wish you
comfort and peace of mind.
May you find strength
in the love of family
and in the warm embrace
of friends.
We looked forward to softball and Mark every year. He was tremendously missed this past season and will be missed.

Barb and daughters -- my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mark had a dynamic personality. YOu could hear the pride in his voice when he spoke of his "girls". We would often compare notes about our kids when we worked together for LC Athletic Boosters. He will be missed.

To the Levin family, my deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked with Mark as a supplier to AT&T/SBC/Ameritech for the past 10 years and always thought Mark was such a thoughtful, cheerful individual. He reached out to me early on and made me feel quite comfortable at the Crown Point office. He often spoke of the family and the girls in softball, giving me a glimpse of the importance the family meant to him. Though I never heard him complain, his suffering is over, and for that, I am glad. May God continue to bless you.
