Marlene Cairns Obituary
Marlene A. Cairns, age 74 of Portage, IN, passed away on January 24, 2016. She was born on February 13, 1941 in Waterloo, IA to Ervin and Erline (Edgeton) Trumblee. She is survived by her son, Scott Cairns; sisters: Nancy (Bill) and Kathy (Bruce); brothers: Jimmy and Fritz; grandchildren: Scottie, Dylan, and Melanie; great grandson, Erik and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Cairns; parents. Marlene retired after 32 years of service with the Portage School system where she was the head cook at Myers Elementary School. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave, Portage, IN 46368 with Pastor Wally Waite officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation services provided by Heritage Crematory, Portage, IN.
