Martha Bianco Obituary

Martha E. Bianco DeMotte Martha E. Bianco, 86 years young, recently of Oak Grove Christian Center in DeMotte, IN passed away, Monday, November 29, 2004. Martha was born January 1, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James and Antoinette Michl. She is a former employee of Anco Company, where she served on the board of directors for Anco Credit Union. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Bianco, former superintendent of Gary Parks Department, Head Sanitarian of Lake County Health Department, State auditor and past president of Club Sar Benevolent Society. Also preceded in death by her brother, Toddy (Helen) Michl. She is survived by two loving sons, Dr. Richard P. (Audrey) Bianco, of Champaign, IL, Robert J. (Gabriella) Bianco of Valparaiso and one daughter Marti A. Bianco (Michael) Stedman of Crown Point; grandchildren include Dr. Richard (Dr. Christina) Bianco, Jr. Tamara (Joseph) Ochoa, Cynthia (Michael) Lewis, Christine (Gerald) Spero, Tia Cerise Stedman, Jason (Stacy) Bianco and eight great-grandchildren: Michael and Nicholas Bianco, Amanda and Michael Lewis, Francesca and Dominic Spero, Zachary and Hailey Bianco, and her loving sister, Elsie Felinski, also a resident of Oak Grove Christian Center, as well as, many loving nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws, Mary Bianco, Wilma Bianco, Millie Bianco and Helen Michl. Martha has belonged to many church and community clubs throughout her lifetime, but was most proud of her involvement with the Daughters of Isabella and being part of the World's Fair in Chicago with her high school band, who took home a gold medal. She was also a strong supporter of Crown Point High School dance team and was a friend to everyone she met. Martha was a member of St. Stephen, Martyr Church. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, Wednesday, from 2 to 8p.m. with a Daughters of Isabella Rosary at 2:30 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen the Martyr Church, Merrillville with Rev. Michael L.Maginot officiating. At Rest Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.

Auntie Martha always said..."I do the best with the tools I got, but the tools I got are wearing out"...She did her best for a long time. God Bless her and love her. She was a sweet little red-haired lady. I sure loved her...
