Martha Jolana Jordan

December 1, 1929 - June 4, 2025

Martha Jolana Jordan passed away on June 4, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 95.

Born in Polov, Slovakia, Martha moved to northwest Indiana in 1945, and married Robert (Louis) Jordan in 1951. They settled in Griffith, Indiana to raise their family, then retired to Florida in the 1990's.

Martha carried a bold spirit and boundless energy up to the last days of her life, leaving an unforgettable impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by husband Robert (Louis) Jordan; parents Anna and John Biros; sisters Justine Biros and Clara Klen; and grandson Benjamin Jordan.

Survived by children Ron (Laura) of Griffith IN, Dan (partner Mike Choi) of Palm Springs CA, Jim (Kathy) of Tampa FL, and Pam Vaporciyan (Garo) of Houston TX; grandchildren Jennifer, Pete (Christina), Jason, Harrison (fiancé Bailey), Anya, and Nicholas (Johanna); and great-grandchildren Ashley, Dominick, Reese, Fiona, and William.

Martha was laid to rest near her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

A memorial mass and reception will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Griffith, Indiana. Mass will held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 525 Broad St. Griffith IN 46319, with reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
