Bob, Cyndee, Bill and Donna,

My sympathy and condolences to you and your family members over the loss of your mother. I had often wondered what happened to her, or if she still lived in East Chicago. She was a very active, giving lady. I remember all the dinners for which she cooked at St. Mary's, and she was an excellent cook. I also remember our last winter at Bishop Noll, and your mother gave us rides to school everyday, so we didn't have to walk in the frigid cold and snow anymore.

My mother will be 89 next month. There are not too many old-timers left. I guess we are rapidly becoming the old-timers. I hope your mother's last years were in relative good health.

I see you and Cyndee have three kids, and Billy as well. I have been divorced a long time, but I have two wonderful sons from the marriage. Both are currently serving in the military. I retired in January, and I am now living in Cuenca, Ecuador in the southern Andes mountains. I love it.

I still have your River Forest address, but I see you now live in Indian Head Park, Illinois. Otherwise, I would write you a long letter. My brother, Leo, informed me of your mother's passing. He sends his condolences as well to you and Bill. Times like this certainly bring back the memories of a by-gone era. My prayers are with all of you.
