VALPARAISO, IN - Mavis passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024. She was born May 10, 1936 in Mobridge, South Dakota to the late William and Agatha (Fischer) Hoven. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, volunteer at St. Agnes Adult Day Care Center, member of the Altar Rosary Society, and a retired Registered Nurse.
Survived by husband, Frederick J. Studzinski Sr.; daughter, Amy (Benjamin) Bancoro; sons, Frederick (Silvia) Studzinski Jr., Paul (Mary) Studzinski, Bill (Lisa) Studzinski; grandchildren, Karen (Casey) Koss, Andrew Studzinski, Matthew, Brandon and Daniel Bancoro, Thomas (Carly) Studzinski, Ellen (Chris) Kemp, Jack Studzinski; great-grandson, Artem Bancoro; sister, Phyllis (Jerome) Nowak; daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Studzinski; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents and son, Joseph Studzinski.
Viewing will be at DYKES FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 3 to 7 p.m. Meet with the family on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso IN. Rev. Roque Meraz officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
Memorials may be made to St. Agnes Adult Day Care Center, Valparaiso IN.

Mavis served two terms as President of the Sl. Paul Altar Rosary Society. She was a strong and effective leader. When I served as President, she was very helpful to me. I felt privileged to know her.
