Barbara Studzinski Obituary
Barbara Ann Studzinski – Devoted Daughter, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother
It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Studzinski announces her passing at the age of 88. Barbara was born on October 23, 1936, in Bay City, Michigan to Mary and Sylvester Rajewski. Barbara married Al Studzinski in 1956, and they had three children, Keith, Mari, and Monica who they raised in Dearborn Heights. In addition to being a wonderful mother, Barbara was also a loving presence in all her grandchildren's lives and helped to raise them. This tradition carried on with her great-granddaughter, Lucy.
Barbara was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years, earning her teaching degree from Madonna University. She began her career in a one-room schoolhouse and retired from St. Sabina elementary school. Her passion for teaching left a lasting impact on countless students.
Aside from her family and beloved dog friends over the years, Barbara had many vocations that those who know and love her have always appreciated, including: gardening, sewing, cooking, reading, puzzling, organizing, telling stories about when she was young, meeting life with a strong dose of reality, and teaching her loved ones the tricks of all of these pursuits.
Barbara also loved to travel. She was always ready for an adventure and explored destinations from Florida and Arizona to Cuba, Mexico, Poland, and Italy. The Studzinski's made many family memories on summer camping trips over the years.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her children: Keith (Donna), Mari Maceri, and Monica Doroghazi (Bill); grandchildren: Melissa (Andy), Lauren (Joe), Erika (Matt), Chris (Danielle), and Rachel (Adam); and great granddaughter, Lucy. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at the Livonia Senior Center and the many friends she made in such a short time at Willow Pines.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sylvester and Mary Rajewski; her husband of 49 years, Al; daughter-in-law, Peggy; son-in-law, Joe; and granddaughter, Kelly.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Desmond Funeral Home, 248-362-2500.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
