There are not many of us left. So on behalf of the late Bess and Constance Lukas and of my family, the Thomas Rumas family, I send sympathies. Eleni will know us from the grocery stores and Indiana Harbor. May Mena's memory be eternal.

I'm so glad I was able to make it to Thio Themio's memorial a couple of months back. It was the last time I saw her beautiful smile and was called "poolaki mou" before asked if I had enough to eat. She had a great sense of humor and always loved coming to family events to check on all of us and make sure we were doing alright; whether it was her immediate family or otherwise. As half Panamanian, that meant a lot even if it didn't seem like anything special or different from her regular routine. I'm upset that I won't be able to pay my respects one last time in person, but if I had skipped my college classes I know that she would have haunted my dreams and yelled at me from heaven. All in all, I take comfort in knowing my papou Kosta has another wonderful neighbor up there. And if he didn't realize it yet, don't worry, cuz she'll totally announce herself and probably have food for everyone. I love you Thia Mena. We all do. And we always will. . May your memory be eternal.
