Michael Barrins Obituary
Michael J. Barrins, age 71, of Lansing, IL passed away March 6, 2013. He is survived by his son, Michael A. (Barbara) Barrins; daughter, Lynn (Donald) McRoberts; four grandchildren: Daniel (Charis) Barrins, Patrick, Annie, and Benjamin Barrins; two sisters: Mary (John) Deal, and Margaret Barrins; two brothers: Thomas and Robert Barrins; along with many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Barbara; and his parents: Michael and Agnes Barrins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, proceeding to St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Rd., Lansing for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation of Chicago, 230 E. Ohio St., Suite 304, Chicago, IL, 60611. Michael retired from U.S. Steel South Works. www.shroederlauer.com
