Michael E. Girton

MICHAEL E. GIRTON VALPARAISO, IN Michael E. Girton of Valparaiso, passed away at the Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, December 20,2 008 at the age of 51. He was born in Valparaiso, IN on December 12, 1957. Michael was a 1975 graduate of Concord High School in Dunlap, IN. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Michael was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso and worked as an office manager for Weiler Heating & Cooling in Valparaiso. Michael is survived by his parents: Russell G. and Mary Ann (nee Shank) Girton of Valparaiso; sisters: Margaret (Richard) Smith of Tonawanda, NY and Mary (Robert) Bott of Parker, CO; nieces and nephew: Jillian and Jacob Bott, and Meghan Smith. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from the Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell Street, Valparaiso to St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass with Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac, IN. Friends may call at the Dykes Funeral Home on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a 4:30 p.m. Wake Service.
