Murray Stasick Obituary
Dr. Murray Stasick, loving husband and father, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the age of 88. As a resident of Crown Point , IN , he is survived by his wife, Joan Stasick; children: Michael Stasick, Roxy Reynolds, Debbie (John) Riordan; grandchildren: Janel (John) Brack, Justin Riordan, and Shaun Riordan; great grandchild: Wyatt Riordan; sister: Natalie (Herb) Gronauer; and, numerous nieces and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ann Stasick; and nephew, Stephen Gronauer. Funeral services will be held, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 8580 Wicker Ave. St. John , IN , with John Bradshaw, officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Murray came to the United States from Toronto Canada in 1949 to practice medicine. He was associated with Munster Community Hospital and St. Margaret Hospital for over 60 years. Even though he never sought his American citizenship, he volunteered his services during the Korean Conflict. For many years he was active in the Calumet City Lion's Club. While living a very active professional life and serving his community, he always found time to participate in his favorite pastime. Office is closed. GONE FISHING! We were very sad to hear about Dr. Stasick's passing. We were on vacation at the time and did not hear about this sad news until recently. Dr. Stasick delivered me 53 years ago and he has always been a great doctor and friend. He was truly "one of a kind" and will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers to Joan and family.

So So sorry to hear this Dr.Stasick delivered me 45 yrs ago and he was my doctor until he retired and had been my mothers doctor since she was 18 yrs old and she is 75 now.Absolutely LOVED this man he will be dearly missed

We are so saddened to hear of Dr.Stasicks passing. He was my husbands doctor for over 40 years.And our family dr. since our marriage 3o plus years ago.He also was my husbands parents dr. For many many years. What a great man and dr. We've missed him dearly his his retirement . And now even more. R.I.P Murray. May god be with your wife and family.

He was Doctor to both me and my Mother. My mother worked for him for 14 yrs. until my Dad passed away and then she had to look for something with insurance but we still kept him as our Doctor on Indianapolis Blvd. in Hammond. He was a good person and i feel for Joannie and family.

Dr.Stasick was a great Man and Doctor. He was my Familys Doctor also mine.He delivered both of my children. You will never find another Doctor like him. May he rest in Peace. Our Prayers are with the Family.

Dr Stasick delivered me in Jan. of 1956 and he delivered most of my brothers and sister, my parents had him for their primary care Dr. until they passed. He was a great Dr. and a wonderful careing person, so sorry to hear he passed. My thoughts go out to his family.

Dr. Stasick was my Doctor until I turned 18 and was the Doctor who delivered me. He was my parents primary Physician their whole lives. My condolences to the family.

Our deepest condolences to the family. We were very fortunate to have Dr.Stasick as our family doctor for over 30 years. A true "Old School" doctor,who always took the time to explain everything. No matter how sick you felt his smile and a reassuring pant on the back, somehow always made you feel a little better.
