Naoumis Kurtis Obituary

NAOUMIS "NORMAN" KURTIS CROWN POINT, IN
Naoumis "Norman" Kurtis, age 80 of Crown Point, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Naoumis came to America in 1951 and married his bride Voskre (Nochevich) in 1955. He was a founding member of SS Peter & Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral. Norman was retired from Gary-Hobart Water Company with 44 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Macedonian Band The Kastorians for over 50 years. Mr Kurtis is preceded in death by his wife Voskre (2011), son Norman Kurtis, Jr (1975), parents Ilija & Sofija Kurtis and all of his siblings. Naoumis is survived by his loving children; Sophie (Mitre) Kutanovski, Chris (Kim) Kurtis; grandchildren, Alex (Elizabeth) Kutanovski and Kathy (Greg) Ridenour. Visitation will be be held FRIDAY May 24, 2014 at 10 AM AT THE CHURCH, SS Peter & Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral 9600 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Funeral Services will be begin at 10:30am with V.
