Dear Mrs. Swanson, Neil & Diane,
I was so sorry to hear that Mr. Swanson passed last week. I have known Mr. Swanson since I was in high school with Neil & Diane. Neil, I always admired the support you received from your parents. They never missed a game. You are lucky to have such loving parents. I have missed seeing Neil Sr this past year at the bank. He never failed to stop and see how I was doing, ask about my kids & grandkids, and talk so proudly about Kurt & Kim. He was a kind man and will be missed greatly by all.

Hi Joanne, Neil Charles,Diane and Grandkids.....Sonia called this morning to tell us the news. She reads the Hammond Times faithfully.
What a great neighbor Neil was. So many times he could have yelled at the kids or even me....but he seldom did. We really appreciated you both!!! You were "neat" neighbors!! What can I say....he was a neat person....and I loved the cars!!!!I remember the car that was sitting in the driveway waiting for Neal Charles to have his 16th birthday.
The sports of Lansing really had a wonderful supporter in "Big Neal".
He had a wonderful life and wife and family and its o-k for him to pass on to the other side. I will be putting you all in my Monday evening Prayer circle.
Joanne, you have my special love...and I so appreciated your friendship when we lived next to you and the kids were growing up. Wonderful memories!!!
God Bless you all at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Judy and Ed Swanson....and of course, the adult kids....Sonia, Raul, Erik and Thor!!!!

Hello Joann and family, I want to express my sympathy to you and your family. I did receive your letter and apologize for not replying. Neil was always a gentle man, handsome, well mannered and loved his precious family...you the most. May your angels watch over you always. Love, Loretta
