NORBERT GAWRYSIAK Obituary
Norbert J. Gawrysiak, age 70, of Merrillville, passed away on February 21, 2015. Norb was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a lifetime member of V.F.W. Merrillville Post No. 1563 and a member of Schererville American Legion Post 485. He was the owner of E&N Pump and Control, established in 1970. He had a genuine passion for nature and desire to help people. He was preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Florence in 2006; his parents, Stanley and Helen Gawrysiak; his brother, Eugene Gawrysiak. Survivors include his two children: John (Dana) Gawrysiak of Hobart, Michelle (Ralph Pidgeon) Gawrysiak of Merrillville; two grandchildren: Joseph Gawrysiak, Danielle Gawrysiak; mother-in-law, Agnes Jones of Portage. Funeral Service for Norb will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Friends may visit with Norb's family on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns (Hobart). Interment Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. www.burnsfuneral.com
