Petar Sasic SCHERERVILLE, IN - Petar Sasic, age 82 of Schererville, formerly of Yugoslavia, Paris, Montreal, and Miami Beach, passed away peacefully Friday, March 2, 2018. Petar attended St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Merrillville. Petar moved to Northwest Indiana from Miami in 1981 to be near his beloved family and Serbian Community. He was preceded in death by his parents Petar & Sava Sasic, beloved brother Milan, and sisters Radojka and Bosiljka. Petar is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Branka (Loncar) Sasic; three cherished daughters: Radmila Sasic, Maria (Nikola) Mileusnic and Diana (Paul) Cook; six adored grandchildren; Danielle, Michael, and Gabrielle Szumlas, Ivana Mileusnic, Brixton and Delilah Cook; special nephew Petar, nieces Milena and Marija along with many other nieces and nephews, family and Kumovi. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the CALUMET PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 7535 Taft St, Merrillville, IN with a Pomen Service at 6:00 p.m., V. Rev Marko Matic officiating. Funeral Services will be held Monday, directly at 10:00 a.m., St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 9191 Mississippi St, Merrillville. Interment Holy Cross Orthodox Cemetery (St. Sava Merrillville). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church.
