I know you are one of gods best angels because the list of family and friends you look after is to long. Every man,women,and kid that remember you have a great story about you, thats how I know how many hearts you have touched.They always say a good man inspires people by words not necesarilly actions. In your case it was both.You had a special relationship with everyone , people loved you in there own way. You always looked out for me like the big brother i never had then I realized you were the big brother I always wanted. I will never have a friend like you .I miss you so much I wish we can turn back time . I wish you would of chilled that day here when I call you and I was cooking out for Yankees / mets game but god had another path.I hope the day we meet again you be there to greet me because we have alot of catching up to do. I had another son and I wish my boys can see you . I wish you can be here when t-bone is here playing but I know you are watching. Please continue to bless everyone you love especially your mom and dad that been through alot , I try my best to always help your mom , talk to frankie and keep good memories alive. These are your first holidays in heaven, with our Creator of the Universe, the One that gave you birth, in your mother's womb, who loves you very, very much; unconditionally, and your family, too.
Grandma loves you very much; you especially, because you look and act like my brother, Ruben.
You were the greatest of all in a special way, although I love each of my grand children, each in a different way. Each one has a differnt gift that the Lord gave them.
He gave you gifts that were very exceptional, which are love, kindness, understanding, wisdom, and knowledge. Your actions spoke louder than words. Silence is Golden. You were also a good father to your kids, and mother of your children. You care very much for your Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles. You also care for your friends. You were very generous to everybody. When somebody needed help, or a place to stay, you were there for them.
You accomplished a lot for your age. You fulfilled some of your dreams, and could accomplish more of your dreams, if you wre still here on earth. You left a good trait for your family to follow. I'm sure they will carry on what you wanted to do. I'm sure your spirit will touch the persons that you want to carry on your dreams.
I know you were very close to Steven, and he misses you very much.
There is not a week or or day, that Steven passes by, to see your kids, and so do your brothers, sisters, as well as your Mom and Dad.
The whole family was together for Christmas Eve. We missed you being there.
Mom and Dad are pursuing Justice, and the rest of the family, too. "We will prevail." He might have taken you to heaven, but your spirit will linger on in our hearts forever. I talk to you every night in our spirits. I treasure all the memories we had, and thank you for the love, and care you gave Corky, and me.
I have all your cards, which you gave me for Christmas, Mothr's Day; in addition to the flowers for Grandparent's Day, along with what was inside. You knew how to pick cards.
You will never be forgotten; I will always remember when you passed away, on September 17, 2007, your Great Grandma Caballero's birthday.
Hope I live long enough to see Justice done, that's my wish, before I leave this wary world, to go with my Heavely Father, to meet you, and the rest of our family.
I love you very much, and miss you, especially your laughter.
My prayers are with you, and all the family.

I cannot tell you that it will get easier with time but it will be easier to talk about him. This is what I have learned from my losses which have been many. I wish that I had spent more time with my cousin Rene and his family but we always think that we have time tomorrow and then tomorrow never comes. My heart aches for you, Erica and the children and the loss in your young lives and for my cousin, Patsy, who lost her son I cannot begin to understand cuz and my cousins who lost their brother for I too have lost my beloved brother and for all the rest of my family. Our Tia Gloria wanted us to have the Family Reunion but we postponed it due to her leaving us. Some of us thought that it was too soon after her death and we really did not have the heart to continue as she was the one who assigned us specific tasks and called us every day to see if we had accomplished them. I now see why it was so important to her because it was for us, the family. We need to get together to celebrate and share our families and to give strength to those going through difficult times and also to remember those that are no longer physically with us as they will always be with us. You left us so suddenly.Your inner thoughts unknown. But you left us with memeories. I'm very proud to own. No farewells were spoken, No time to say good-bye. You were gone before we knew it, And only God Knows why. I don't know where to start, how to feel or what to think. Our life together has been a journey & yet I will never understand why??? Good, bad, happy, sad, up and down. We went through it all. I guess we were two people in love trying to make things right for us and our family. You promised you will never leave me you said you were sorry for every thing you put me through. You begged me to hold on & never to let you go & put trust in us. But yet I still don't have you... I ask my self over and over why did they have to take you from our family. A lot of people knew our bad, but only we knew the good. We were too hard headed to let go and yet too stubborn to give up, so we both kept holding on. Through the good and bad, our loved still survived. Never did I ever imagine this would happen to us. I never thought I would lose you like this. I catch myself calling you in the middle of the night wondering what time are you gonna come home. I some times think you are away on vacation & your gonna come home. I am in still total shock I can't believe this has happened to me... Your lil man your main man your pa'pa thats what you used to say. I could just hear you now walking through that door calling him. Every time that door or basement door opens Pa, is looking for you. He picks up your pictures every day & he is wondering where your at. Pa, is still looking for you. Our poor Pa, he's yet to lil to understand. Oh my God & our Princess my poor baby girl your "TuTi Nanas" she is so strong she misses her daddy so much. I never ever thought our kids would have to go through this. They miss you so much "BaBe". People keep telling me I'll be okay and time will heal my pain. But how could anyone ever realize how much I love you. Days will pass and nights will come and go but a part of you will never leave me. You stole my heart and I gave you my soul and together we brought two beautiful children into this world. Every day I will look into there eyes and see you and while they are growing up I'll make sure they know how much you loved them both & all the lil thing's u used to do. I was just sharing good memories, with the rest of the family, at the funeral service. I remember when Pat and Richard had all of their cousins over, in the summer, to eat, laugh, and swim. This is where I can still see Rene, with Ricky, and Stacey. No one has mentioned it, but I must say we used to call him "Pooh". In my heart, he will always be "Pooh".
I express my deepest condolences to my cousin Patricia (his mother), Erica, girlfriend, mother of his children: Angeleah, Anthony, all of the Alonzo, Herrera, and Barrido families.
Psalm 91 is a source of strength, and protection for us all.
Rene, we love you very much. May the Lord bless you and hold you close, until all of us can see you again.
