Robert Willard Brannon Cedar Lake, IN Robert Willard Brannon, age 74, of Cedar Lake, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2003 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point. He is survived by three sons: Thomas (Glenda) Brannon of Palm City, FL, John Brannon of Cedar Lake, IN and Ted Brannon of Lowell, IN; seven grandchildren: Larry (Amy) Brannon of Orlando, FL, Jason Brannon of Jacksonville, FL, Robert Brannon of Cedar Lake, IN, John Brannon of Stuart, FL, Thomas Brannon of Cedar Lake, IN, Kelli Brannon of Cammery, KY and Cydney Brannon of Lowell, IN; two great-grandchildren Delaney and Riley; and two daughters-in-law, Gayle and Cathy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joan. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004, 11 AM at the After Four Club in Cedar Lake, IN. Rev. John Starr officiating. Cremation, Northwest Indiana Cremation Service. Mr. Brannon was the current President of the Cedar Lake Town Council; a Real Estate Developer; Past President of the Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce; past Treasurer of the Cedar Lake Democratic Organization; Charter member of the Cedar Lake Enhancement Association; member of the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261; a Korean Conflict Army Veteran; and a Purdue Alumnus. I was saddened to learn of his passing. He was a fair man whose passion for the town of Cedar Lake gave many of us a source of pride. The town has become a better place because of him.
