It's going to be 7 months soon here Pawpaw, and there still isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of you. When I do the work in the yard I feel like such an incomplete person because I know that no matter how hard I try I will never be able to do it like you. I've held in my love for you for way too long, and I felt like you didn't know it was there until you were in that bed with all those tubes running in your body. I still feel guilty Pawpaw because you said you wanted to be at home instead of in that room you were stuck in, and I was to blame for that because you said you didn't want me to be scared. I wish i had told you before it was too late that I'll never be scared of you. I really wish I still had you here with me so I wouldn't feel so lonely during the day when Mawmaw and Mom are at work. You always gave me that safe feeling Pawpaw, and I know that even though you're gone, you'll still watch over me and the rest of the family. I only hope I can be half the you were Pawpaw and I'll try every day to be. I Just miss you every day of my life, when you left this world, half my heart and soul went with you. I never had my dad to be there for me, so you are always the one who raised me like I was your son. I miss you Pawpaw and I'll never ever ever let you leave my mind, and what's left of my heart.

Love,
Your grandson Tyler

Daddy,

Its been almost 1 month since you left us and we miss you terribly. Our house is not a complete home without you. I come home from work everyday expecting to see you sitting on the couch watching tv. Then reality hits and I realize that Im never going to see that again. I see the sadness in mom's eyes and in Tyler's eyes. I wish you were here again but I know we will see each other again in Heaven one day. You were the best dad a girl could ask for. Tyler is going to grow into a good man because of you and Im so thankful he had 16 years with his pawpaw. I love you, daddy, and miss you everyday! Look in on us from time to time ok?? We promise we will take care of mom and your house and fly that W flag whenever the Cubs win! We love you!

Very sorry for your loss. Here is a poem that tells that he is always near:
Hugs from Heaven

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely, my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I will always think of Robert when I think of growing up on Idaho Street. Between the Spraggins', Marley's, and Camacho's, we all spent a lot of time together and it was always great fun. I will keep you guys in my prayers.

I can not say how enjoyable was last night spending time with you and your children. Seeing the Aunts was also incredible. I am so sorry that we had to connect in this fashion, yet, there is always a positive side to most things. I loved Uncle Robert and I am so proud to say he was my Uncle and that I carry his blood through my veins. Kids, to me your dad was a very interesting man.. :) Sending my love to you and all of yours.
